I've found the quality varies considerably. Most of walnuts are good as expected and have the best flavor and freshness of any walnut brand I've tried. Recently I've noticed the number of bad tasting, spoiled or moldy pieces is small but slowly growing. It only takes one bad tasting walnut to ruin the experience.
